Gesundheit!
Friday, February 24th, 2012What can you expect from a company whose brand name sounds like sneezing when it comes to finding names for their products?
When Daihahchoo’s marketing department learned that there are people who like to drive “topless”, they decided to go one step further…
To make matters even worse, they not only chose the wrong name, they also gave it to the wrong model: one that is so skinny that you can see its bolts and hinges, and its cup size isn’t impressive, either.
With “a target market of women in their late twenties and early thirties” and possibly with the Germans in mind, Daihatschi then unloaded the Latte, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they just misspelled the “Boon“.
Astronauts, Vikings and Ghosts
Thursday, February 23rd, 2012Astronauts, Vikings and Ghosts by Robert Haines is a touching documentary that made me think whether progress changes our lives for the better. In some way it does — it enables us from the dreary comfort of our homes to watch a film in colour depicting the bleak present day, and showing black-and-white photographs of a colourful and lively past in the pubs and on the streets — and blog about it. Highly recommended!
The Film will be rebroadcast on the German-French channel arte on 2012-03-01, 05:00 MET under its German title “Astronauten, Wikinger und Geister”.
